Introduction
On February 1, 2018, the Center for Freedom and Justice (CFJ) and the Agricultural Committee initiated the installation of 450 iron columns near Road 60 to support the growth of grape trees. This was followed by planting 900 grape and plum trees in 900 pre-dug holes, bringing the total number of trees on the reclaimed land to 3,000.
Case
The project addressed the need for effective agricultural support in Beit Ummar, where underutilized land near Road 60 required enhancement to boost local farming. The installation of iron columns and subsequent planting aimed to maximize the productivity of the land.
Solutions
CFJ provided a solution by installing 450 iron columns to support grapevines, a crop requiring structural support. The planting of 3,000 trees, including grapes and plums, was part of a broader effort to revitalize the land and increase its agricultural output.
Activities
CFJ and local farmers worked together to install iron columns and plant 900 grape and plum trees on the reclaimed land. The collaborative effort involved digging holes, planting trees, and ensuring the infrastructure was in place to support the long-term growth of the crops.
Achieved Outcomes
The successful planting of 3,000 trees on the reclaimed land has significantly increased the agricultural capacity of the area. The installation of iron columns ensures that the grapevines will be properly supported, contributing to a more productive and sustainable farming environment.
Social Impact
